Dr. Effie McMillian

Dr. Effie McMillian currently serves as the Chief Officer of Equity, Access, and Acceleration for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School (WS/FCS) system. Prior to joining the WS/FCS staff, she served in various roles in the Guilford County Schools system for 21 years. She has also served as an adjunct instructor at her alma mater, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, in the School of Education for the past 18 years. 

Effie McMillian earned National Board Certification in 2004 in the area of Early Childhood Generalist and is proud to have been recognized at the Harris Teeter, Teacher of Excellence in 2008.  She graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She also earned a M.S.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a doctorate in Educational Leadership at High Point University.
